Once again Rush Limbaugh, big time conservative, has made comments that made me very angry. How dare he call honorable military men who opposed the war, “phony soldiers”? There are a bunch of war boosters in D.C., who avoided military service themselves, and are now lecturing the rest of us about patriotism and duty while sitting safe in their plush offices. These far right, politicial neocons talked us into a war that was supposed to be “slam dunk” and now look where we are.
How can a three-times-divorced, draft-dodging, guy with a drug problem. represent the far right’s position and be believable? I can hardly stand to even watch the guy so I can rant against him. At least I’ve reached the age where I feel that I can speak my mind and live in a country where I won’t be thrown in jail for railing against the government. Wait, that may be coming the way things are being handled by the Bush administration. I could even be on a FBI watch list for my vocal anti-war activities. I’ll find out when I go to the airport on Wednesday. Of course this is tongue-in-cheek speculating.
