After the Wolfowitz debacle, Bush has put forth a new appointee as president of the World Bank. Robert Zoelick, a former official at the State Department still needs approval by the 24 member, World Bank board. So far he seems to be well received. Only time will tell. The US is still getting it’s way being able to select the World Bank president although some aid groups and other critics want the decades-old practice of the US making the selection to be scrapped.. Zoelick has a big job ahead of him regaining trust, rebuilding credibility and mending relations within the institution and with member countries around the world. Hope you’ve made a better choice this time George. So far your appointee choices have been pretty lame…Joan Lough
