Subject: Troop surge
As I watch the daily carnage in Iraq on my TV, I am heartsick and very, very
angry. The Administration tells us that we are “buying time” for Iraq to get
it’s house in order. In my opinion that time is long past. Our brave troops
are dying while we “buy time” for Iraq. I know that there are places in Iraq
where our troops are doing good things for the Iraqi people but those
successes are far overshadowed by the horrific things that are happening. As
a Health Educator, I am saddened because I know how the mental health of our
returning service personnel will be affected by the things that they have
seen and done, thoughts that will live with them for years. Mr. President, I
believe that your push for “success” will haunt veterans and their families
for years to come. Mr. Bush it’s time for you to get YOUR house in order and
bring the troops home now.
