The republican party did a good job stuffing facts into Palin during her “cram” session but her answers had no depth. When she was unsure of herself she changed the subject and it was very obvious. Her down home attitude made me want to throw up. Will people really fall for her “I know how you feel” spiel? What was even more apparent were the Bush policies lurking in the background. Biden reigned himself in and stuck to facts, bing, bing, bing. He does have a tendency to go on and on but not last night.
All and all, I think that Biden came out ahead on this debate. The republicans were smart to limit Palin to only one debate. There will be two more presidential debates and I really think that Obama will show more substance and expand on the differences between his plans for the country and McCain’s. The economy will hamper some of the promises made but between Obama and Biden I think that they are a pair to be reckoned with.
