Yesterday the Democratic convention got off to a flying start. I was really impressed with Ted Kennedy. The Convention is only the second time he has been seen in public since his brain tumor surgery. For a man as ill as he is, he sounded strong. What a fighter! Caroline Kennedy paid tribute to Barack Obama and Edward Kennedy saying that they both “share a commitment to the timeless American ideals”

Michelle Obama has a huge task ahead of her to show America what the Obamas are about. I think that the Obamas will add a new dimension to politics and the American way. To me her speech was charged with emotion and sincerity. It gave a good picture of her background and how she got where she is now. I’m going to try to keep my blog on a positive note so no McCain bashing for now. My next two blogs will be my impressions of the Clinton’s speeches.
