Lots of talk on both sides of the aisle in Congress and The House, but little if any action. So far over 3,700 of our military are dead and over 13,000 wounded. Who knows how many Iraqi civilians are dead. Is there anyone out there with guts enough to cut off the war funding. Such an action would not put our troops in jeopardy, contrary what the administration says. Cutting off funds seems to be the only way that we can end the farce in Iraq. As the talk drags on and on we watch the death toll rise. John Warner’s suggestion that we bring home 5,000 by Christmas is just a tiny step toward what really needs to be done. I believe that bringing such a small number of military home will not spur the Iraqi government to actions of which they seem incapable. We need a big bold step and a start would be to bring the surge group home, 30,000 plus. That would really be an eye catcher, but even that number may not get Iraqi political results.
