Watching stocks fall right and left is a little frightening. As a depression baby I have some bad memories from the years following the crash. Being just a child, I didn’t really know what had happened, I just knew that times were tough. We ate canned tuna almost on a daily basis (only 10 cents a can) and to this day I can’t eat the darn stuff. My mother was pretty inventive on fixing it different ways but is was still tuna. In those days liver was given away for your cat and as a family without a cat I sure made a lot of trips to the butcher for liver “for my cat” and then we enjoyed fried liver and onions, a tasty change from tuna. Let’s hope that our economy doesn’t fall to that level ever again.
I know very little about the stock market so I will not embarrass myself by making any further comments on the the situation on Wall Street. I’ll sign off and leave comments to the experts.
