General Petraeus, the military commander in Iraq says that American casualties are likely to climb in the months ahead. Haven’t they been bad enough since the “surge†started? His idea of success is fewer sectarian killings in Baghdad. Never mind that more car bombs are killing large numbers of Iraqis and our troops. I quote him “This effort may get harder before it gets easier,” calling the situation “exceedingly complex and very tough.” When asked how many troops and for how long they would have to remain in Iraq, he said “”I wouldn’t try to truly anticipate what level might be some years down the road. It is an endeavor that clearly is going to require enormous commitment and commitment over time,” he also added that he didn’t want to predict how many troops might be involved. I find this very unacceptable. General, follow the will of most American’s and move our combat troops out…Joan Lough
