There are so many political messes swirling around that I am hard pressed to decide what to comment on. I guess I’ll pick on of my favorite topics, the continuing loss of creditability of the USA in the eyes of the world
Today I read an article in the New York Times. A former ally of the US, the Saudi King, told Arab leaders that the American occupation of Iraq was illegal and warned that unless differences between Arab governments were settled, foreign powers would continue to dictate policies in the region. The US in particular, was named. This “friend†of the US cancelled attendance at a White House dinner, to be given in his honor. Do we have any allies left in the Middle East besides Israel? Our policies have turned so many former friends against our country, that I find it heartbreaking. The reputation of the great USA is going rapidly down the toilet. I’m beginning to think that it’s time to put a Canadian Flag pin on my lapel and pretend that I’m not an American. We need some big changes in DC so I say, Shuck Bush.
