After eight years of a republican administration, our country taken to a seemingly endless war, incompetent aides put in key positions, our economy going down the tubes, a Supreme Court stacked with ultra-conservatives who may cost women their freedom of choice, the chance of having Social Security privatized, an ailing health care system and this is just the tip of the iceberg, so I do not plan to waste my time following the Republican Convention as I see very little change coming from McCain.

John McCain pulled an attention getting surprise by choosing Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as his VP. Palin is a 44 year old mother of five, the youngest three months old, an ultra conservative and card carrying member of the NRA with very little, if any, international experience. If McCain thinks that he can woo disappointed female fans of Hillary away from the Democratic Party with a woman on his ticket, he may be in for a surprise. Palin is no Hillary. If anything happens to McCain during his term is Palin the person that we want to lead our country? This choice may be handing the presidency to Obama.
