Bush strikes again! The conservative judges that Bush added to the Supreme Court, have struck down a woman’s choice to choose. The male judges, who are not doctors, made their decision without even considering a woman’s health. A partial-birth abortion is an agonizing decision for a woman to make. A gynecologist doesn’t make this decision lightly. The fetus must have very serious developmental problems, which would require continuous medical or institutional care or there is a serious concern for the mother’s health. Mother’s who do not want that kind of a life for their unborn child, have to make the painful decision whether to terminate the pregnancy. Partial-term abortions are a very small percent of total abortions. I strongly feel that the federal government has no right to make this decision for women. The decision should be between the woman and whatever higher power she believes in, for her decision, not the federal government. In my opinion, our federal justice system is going to hell in a hand basket. What’s the next step in taking away the rights of women?…Joan Lough
