I am throughly disgusted with McCain and Palin for the way they are trying to trash Obama and I think it’s going to bite them in the ass. I, for one, want to hear issues discussed not character assassination. I can only assume that they are very threatened and are lashing out. Our country is in dire straits economically and that’s what needs to be addressed. The claim by McCain that he and he alone came up with the idea of the government buying up bad loans and refinancing them, a plan I’m pretty sure was included in the “rescue” package. For me, McCain’s judgement in selecting Palin as a running mate showed lack of judgement and that alone would keep me from voting for him.
I’m also disappointed in Obama responding to McCain in a negative way. The McCain campaign is using McCain’s wife to lash out using a war vote that both McCain and Obama voted against. They are also using Obama’s middle name against him only to distract America from the issues facing the country. To me these are signs that McCain realizes that his support is going downhill and is getting down and dirty. The rowdy almost snarling crowds attending his campaign speeches seems to attest to the kind of people following him. I sure hope to see a change in this campaign on both sides.
