How did a suicide bomber get past 3 checkpoints to bomb a famous hotel where important Sunni leaders were meeting in Baghdad? 4 top regional Sunni leaders were killed and many injured. Insurgents have infiltrated the Iraqi Army and police and are working against us at every turn. When these kinds of incidents continue to happen daily, how can top US military officers have hope for the “surge” working.? How much longer will we allow our combat troops remain in Iraq if gains are not shown by September? The old wheeze that we need to give the Iraqis more time is not going over with me as the death toll increases. More questions with no answers. More and more Iraqi citizens are turning against us as their death toll also rises…Joan Lough
