Back to my blogging after a 2 week break. Sad to say that not much has changed in D.C. Officials say that the good news is that October had the lowest toll of US military deaths in nearly 2 years, only 36. Good news to whom, surely not the family and friends of those killed and in my opinion 36 too many.
Bush is getting ready to use his mighty veto pen to squash more money for cancer research. The Senate seems to be getting it’s act together when they overrode Bush’s veto of the Water Bill. The Sentate vote was 79-14 and the House vote was 361-54, well over the 2/3 needed to override. Lets hope that they will override the cancer research bill too. It’s well past the time for them to work for what’s best for the American people.
