First Sept. was report time about the surge, now Nov. is being asked for. What is it about the military that they can’t consider the fact that they can’t stem the internal problems in Iraq? Why are our troops continuing to die to give the Iraqi government more time handle the civil war going on? Their civil war is not our problem to resolve. From all accounts, al-Qaeda is at the bottom of the list of problems for the military in Iraq. “More time, more time” they clamor. More time means more deaths and more money for the war. The American people are tired of watching the Iraqi government bumble around and then take a months vacation while our troops continue fight in what I see as a hopeless surge. What is going to take to get the republican congress to help put an end to this mess? It’s very frustrating for me to continue to watch them dig in their heels just like Bush and not move forward toward getting out of Iraq.
