It doesn’t take much thought to realize that information given the American public by so called independent military analysts comes straight from the Pentagon, following the party line. The more gullible take that information as reality. We are given propaganda as independent military analysis. These guys are paid well for their interviews. Several retired top military officers who are not part of the so called “military analysts”, gave their views about how Donald Rumsfeld was mismanaging the war and not too long after their comments, he stepped down only to be replaced by Gates who, in my opinion, is another talking puppet for the Bush Administration. A Pentagon spokesman said it’s “a bit incredible†to think retired military officers could be “wound up†and turned into “puppets of the Defense Department.†Ha!!!
The military analysts who report to the public are used in a campaign by the Pentagon to give favorable news coverage of the administration’s wartime performance. The information given us started with the buildup to the war and is continuing today. Many of the analysts have ties to military contractors so we get very biased views. It’s all about money as hundreds of billions in military business is generated by the administration’s war on terror. All this information is coming to us from major TV and radio networks. Are they duped about where it’s really coming from? I think not. There are good reporters who try to give us a truer slant on the war but they are in the minority and are often labeled “leftist liberals”.
