I am seventy-five years old and I used to be proud of being an American. At the end of the 1800′s my grandparents on both sides came to America from Europe. My mother’s people from Italy and my father’s from Latvia. I was raised on pride of America. Now, I only feel shame. In my opinion, the behavior of the Bush Administration is outrageous. Never can I remember a president trying to legislate his moral views on the whole country by wanting an amendment about marriage added to the Constitution. What happened to the Separation of Church and State? Our civil liberties have gone down the toilet in the name of “Homeland Security”. Horse feathers!!!. Our homes and personal records can be looked into without our knowledge. Now, I hear that they want to do psychological testing of all school children and possibly medicating some without parental consent. Will we have a bunch of medicated zombies walking the school halls? How do we put a stop to this administration’s takeover of the very things that made America great?
