Subject: Internee abuse investigation
As I write this I am listening to the “investigation of abuse of internees” in the background. I hear many repeated reasons of why it took place and what is being done to correct the problem. As should be, people in high places, as we all should be, are concerned about the American image as a result of what has been released to the world. My bigger concern is Donald Rumsfeld himself and his ever encroaching policies to remove or curtail basic American rights. As a 75 year old anti-war activist I fully expect to be on a list somewhere, to possibly be investigated, well maybe not me, but other people who openly declare their opposition to the Bush Administration. Rest assured, that I will go down fighting tooth and nail for my rights to express my views as an American.
