The Taliban have killed another South Korean hostage in Afghanistan. The group being held are members of church group and came to Afghanistan to perform volunteer medical aid. The Taliban seem to be preying on innocent and helpless people unable to deal with their ruthless tactics. There are now 21 survivors but who knows for how long. Their families say that they have given up hope for their release. Most countries will not give in to these terrorist practices and the way it looks now their demands will not be met. The Afghan government has ruled out a prisoner swap and has urged the Taliban to release the women being held.
There have been reports that force will be used to try for their release, but Korean church leaders have requested that they be saved through peaceful and humanitarian ways. The Taliban do not recognize “peaceful and humanitarian ways”, they seem to only know hate and killing.
