To take my mind off Super Tuesday, I’ll tackle a different subject “Hate”. Isn’t there enough hate and violence in the world without people attacking other people who are minding their own business? I just read an article about a couple of young gay men who were attacked in the Capitol Hill area of Seattle while they were walking along the street. What is it with these “gay bashers”? If you disagree with the gay lifestyle, that is one thing but to physically attack them for that reason is disgusting. 10% of the world’s population is gay and as been for a heck of a long time. I studied psychology many long years ago and I’d like to think that these “gay bashers” have problems with their own masculinity, have power problems and also seem to think that they are better than those who are different than they are. That feeling probably extends to not only gays but people of other races and religions. I really feel sorry for those who have that much “hate” in them. Hate chews you up inside and as we see in the Middle East and Africa, hate and the pursuit of power spills over into societies and finally war. That may be a rather simplistic view but in my mind it answers some “why” questions for me.
