Since 2004 the United States Army has known and warned soldiers at American bases in Iraq of flawed wiring by contractors in constructions on bases. There have been at least a dozen deaths and additional severe electrical shocks. The danger continues. What he heck is going on that we can’t further protect our military? Faulty grounding seems to be the cause but why can’t there be inspections and corrections? This situation is not acceptable.
Once again we see American tax dollars being used to pay huge fees to contractors who kill Iraqi citizens, build shoddy reconstruction projects and commit fraud with military supplies. To make it worse, it seems that nobody is doing a damn thing about it. I blame the Pentagon for allowing this problem to continue. They seem to be denying knowledge of the situation or passing the buck. The Bush administration is master of buck passing. It seems that once again there are people in top positions who are not qualified for the jobs that they are doing. We sure bit off more that we could chew going into Iraq in the first place and our military is paying the price.
