To the editor,
Once again, we are getting dire warnings of Al Qaeda attacks here at home. This Administration’s rush to invade Iraq and not follow thru on chasing them down in Afghanastan. has brought terror to the general population in Iraq, killed almost two thousand of our service personnel and who knows how many innocent Iraqis, untold numbers of wounded American’s and Iraqi people. Our presence in Iraq has inflamed Middle Eastern insurgent groups who have poured into Iraq. In my opinion, if we hadn’t rushed into a country that was no viable threat to the US, this whole situation would not have escalated to this point. Now we are at a point of trying to ready Iraqi soldiers to take care of their own country. How many more men and women must give their lives for this terrible error while we wait for Iraq to be ready?
