I really have mixed feelings about this topic. It seems that the frontrunners in the ’08 elections, in both parties. favor expanding the military. I would favor this only if our troops were out of Iraq. When that happens, I think that we will need to repair and restore the military. In a defense budget, we need to consider the long term medical care that many returning vets will need. It will take a large defense budget to undo the damage that Bush did to the military with his senseless war…Joan Lough
