“Executive Privilege”, now that’s an over used “right” that the current administration uses to hide activities from Congress and the American public. I have come to realize that these so called “rights” are not always used for the security of our country but for the security of the administration. This method of hiding information from the public is a ploy used since the very beginning of the current administration. Who knows what machinations are hidden behind that “right”? The so called “watch dogs” in Congress have been exceedingly slow to push for information and shoot down the barrier that has been put up to muzzle information that Congress and the public should be privy to.

Five years since the beginning of the Iraq war and we are just starting to get the reports of what the C.I.A. told our illustrious leaders who overrode and manipulated it for their desire for war. Five years of our brave military doing their duty for their country and dying for a lie. Five years of hundreds of thousands of Iraqi civilians being killed and forced from their homes. Five years of an ineffective and corrupt Iraqi government. Five years of fraud at the highest levels of Iraqi government and yes, fraud in our government and the contracts given without competition to rebuild Iraq, contracts without competent oversight as to where billions of our tax dollars have gone and are still going. Where are the “watch dogs” in Congress and why haven’t they pushed harder for answers? How much longer will we continue to prop up a useless Iraqi government? How much longer will we allow Iraqi fraud to help pay for the insurgency?

What will change in the next administration do for the horrible situation that we find ourselves in, the war, our plunging economy and our status in the world? Who will be able to save my America?
