Desertions and suicides among the military are higher now than in the past 25 years. Does that tell us what this unnecessary war is doing to our young people? The stress of this kind of war plus continued redeployment is driving many military personnel over the edge. When will Republicans and Democrats say enough is enough and start bringing troops home? All is needed, is for congress and the senate to override any vetos by Bush and not fund the war until troops start coming home.
The costs of this war are astronomical. Our children and their children will be paying for years to come. Think about what good could be done with the billions and billions of dollars that we are spending on war. I can’t understand why people don’t rebel and put and end to the war. Am I suggesting anarchy? If that is what it takes to end it all, then yes.
