It is time for the Bush administration to admit that their vision of democracy in Iraq is not to be. They invaded Iraq without a good understanding of Middle Eastern history and culture. Our brave troops are now caught in the middle of a civil war and have no place there.
The Iraq government needs to take over and end the violence. This violence has escalated day by day. I cry for the American families who lose their sons and daughters. I cry for the Iraqi civilians being slaughtered. Sen. Joseph Lieberman says that our leaving Iraq will be a disaster. I believe that our remaining there will be a bigger disaster. Our army is strained to its limits. More and more young service people are being killed and suffering horrible wounds.
Bring them home now!
