Bush seems to be changing his tune. He will be giving the insurgents a timeline, something he is so adamant against the Democrats doing in the funding bill that he just signed. With the “surge” not appearing to work and the Iraqi government lax in controlling the religious factions, I think the White House is getting desperate. The Repbulican Senate and Congress members are losing patience with the way the war is progressing. The Bush administration will call for a change of direction and take any credit for removing or redeploying troops. Better that this “change” would take place sooner than later and save a lot of unnecessary deaths but I fear that this is not to be. With the death toll already so high, waiting until September to save face is a crime…Joan Lough
