WAR ON IRAQ

I am full of admiration for our brave troops fighting this war and I support them 100 percent but I am also full of rage against the administration that sent them into what I feel is an unnecessary war. The war could have been avoided through diplomacy and joint efforts with our allies.
I cry as I watch the carnage on TV carried round the clock. I cry for my grandson, a 21-year-old Marine, and his desire to defend his country. I cry for our brave young people shedding blood and losing lives. I cry for Iraqi citizens, many children and babies, without food or water and running in fear. I feel that the nation’s tears go unnoticed by the Bush administration.

I believe that our military is for defending our country, not invading countries that didn’t strike the first blow. I agree Saddam is a despot and must go but not at this terrible price, one that will follow the American people for many years to come.
