Letters to the Editor

As an anti-war activist from the get go, I have always steered clear of the “Impeach Bush” contingent. That is rapidly changing for me.

When Bush announced that he was replacing the two top commanders in Iraq, who do not believe that we need more troops, I saw red. For him to ignore the wishes of the majority of people in the U.S., plus experienced commanders in the field, and to plan to replace them with his puppets, I realized, more than ever, that he cares only about his own agenda, not what may be best for our country. I threw up my hands and said, “Who needs this kind of a president?” The way we got into this war raised red flags for me and now this “new strategy, or change of direction,” which in my opinion is not a change of direction at all, has pushed me to join any group looking for a thorough investigation, which could possibly lead to impeachment. At this point in time, how do we stop our commander in chief?
