In remote tribal regions of Pakistan, on the border of Afghanistan, al-Qaeda is busy rebuilding. According to a U.S. State Department Report “Iran remains the world’s most significant state sponsor of terrorism.” Is this another fear tactic leading us to war with Iran? It seems that Dick Chaney is stirring up things against Iran on visits to the Middle East. I think that he has wanted war with Iran too since we invaded Iraq. Will he make a move before Bush leaves office? That would be a fine kettle of fish to leave with the next administration. I wouldn’t put it past him. In my opinion he is a despicable person, totally a slime ball. There I’ve said it and I’m glad. He’s the Edgar Bergen to Bush, his talking head.

Deaths from terrorism increased about eight percent in 2007 to more than 22,000 and quadrupled in Pakistan. Extremists based in remote tribal regions started a violent campaign against the Islamabad government nation-wide. The State Department also reports that Shiite Muslim Iran is also providing aid to Sunni Muslim Taliban insurgents in Afghanistan a tactic to keep U.S.-led coalition forces under pressure. The report also said that al-Qaida and associated groups remained the greatest terrorist threat to the United States and its partners. I seems to me that we need to remove our military from Iraq and turn our attention to Afghanistan, a place we should have paid more attention to instead of invading Iraq.
