This blog has been a life saver for me. It allows me to vent all my frustrations against what I see as an administration that is ruining our country and causing the unnecessary deaths of our young people in the military. I was a Marine (colorfully known as a BAM) during the Korean War and I fully understand the sense of family and duty that Marines feel toward each other and it must be the same in other branches of the military. At 78 I see myself as a patriot, contrary to what I have been called as an anti-war activist since before we unlawfully entered Iraq. It is painful for me to read the never ending list of “killed in action”.

Tomorrow I will take a respite from my blogging and head from Seattle to visit a friend in Sarasota, FL. Hopefully I’m going to have fun in the sun and avoid news reports. I will return to my blog on Nov. 7th and renew my tirade until people in Washington get their act together and work toward what’s best for our military and their families and our country, not what’s best for big business.
