I’m going to pause my poison pen until I see what Biden and Palin have to say during their first debate tomorrow night and what Congress and the Senate do with the bailout plan when they return from their brief Jewish holiday recess.

While I pause in my observation of the political and economic situation, I am livid to discover that 10,000 combat troops are scheduled to be deployed to Iraq in the spring, from Fort Lewis, WA and another 16,000 will be sent from another state. What happened to the drawdown? We aren’t wanted there by the Iraqis and the problem with the insurgence requires police action against terrorists who are criminals. The sects fighting each other are part of a civil war, also not our business. Yes sir, the Pentagon and hawks in the Bush administration are running our country. If Americans can call their Senators and Congressmen to rail about the economy why not about the deployment of more combat troops? Afghanistan is where more troops are really needed.
