The US has lost 190,000 US weapons! What the heck is going on here? What kind of people are in charge of keeping track of our weaponry? That’s a lot of weapons that could be used against our troops if they have fallen into the insurgents hands. This is another sign of a very bungled war. Since 2003 $19.2 billion has been spent trying to develop Iraqi security forces. The Government Accountability Office said weapons distribution was haphazard and rushed, particularly from 2004 to 2005, when security training was led by Gen. David Petraeus, who now commands all U.S. forces in Iraq.

The number of attacks launched by breakaway factions of the Shiite Mahdi Army militia has increased, said Lt. Gen. Raymond Odierno, the U.S. second-in-command. 73 percent of the attacks that wounded or killed U.S. troops last month in Baghdad were launched by Shiite militiamen, nearly double the figure six months earlier. Are our own weapons being used against us? What is being done about this lack of oversight?
