As the death toll of US troops continues to mount, I hope that all those in the Senate and Congress, who had it in their power to stop this carnage by not signing the funding bill, realize just what they have done. Our troops are paying the price of a terribly unnessary, mismanaged war. In my opinion, we are well past the point of saying no more money for this war and move our combat forces out of harms way. If “containment” is in the future, why not now? Will things really be under control by September? I think not. I hope that all those in favor of continuing this fiasco can look at themselves in the mirror and sleep at night, as brave troops continue to die in increasing numbers…Joan Lough
